1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the website. If you use the website for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that organisation.
2. About Pendulum
Pendulum Insurance Brokers Limited is an indigenous Nigerian private limited liability company incorporated on 10 February 2025. We provide insurance and reinsurance broking and risk-consultancy services to individuals, families, SMEs and corporate organisations.
Pendulum acts as an intermediary and risk adviser. We do not underwrite insurance, issue policies in our own capacity or make final claim decisions. Insurance is underwritten and issued by the selected insurer.
3. General website information
Website content describes products and services in general terms. It is not personalised insurance, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice and does not replace the wording, schedule, endorsement or conditions of an insurance policy.
Product availability, benefits, exclusions, limits, deductibles, premiums and insurer appetite vary. Images and examples are illustrative. You should discuss your circumstances with an adviser and review the insurer’s documents before deciding.
We aim to keep information accurate and current but do not guarantee that every page is complete, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
4. Enquiries, quotations and insurance cover
Submitting a website form, sending a message, receiving an acknowledgement, discussing terms or receiving an indicative figure does not create a contract of insurance and does not bind Pendulum or an insurer.
A quotation is subject to its stated validity period, underwriting requirements, complete and accurate disclosure, payment terms and any other conditions. Cover begins only when the insurer confirms acceptance and the applicable commencement requirements are met.
Do not assume an existing policy has renewed, changed or been extended until written confirmation has been issued by the insurer or communicated through an authorised channel.
5. Your responsibilities
When engaging with us, you agree to:
- provide information that is complete, accurate, current and not misleading;
- disclose material facts and changes that may affect an insurer’s assessment of risk;
- review quotations, policy documents, schedules, exclusions and endorsements carefully;
- notify us promptly if information or documents appear incorrect;
- pay premiums and other agreed amounts by the required date and method;
- protect your devices, communications and documents from unauthorised access; and
- use the website and our contact channels lawfully.
Incomplete, inaccurate or misleading information may affect a quotation, policy validity, coverage or claim.
6. Claims information
Website claims guidance is general and not an exhaustive checklist. Notify Pendulum or the insurer as soon as reasonably possible and follow the policy’s claims conditions. Preserve relevant evidence and avoid admissions, disposal of damaged property or permanent repairs where doing so could prejudice assessment, unless necessary for safety or to prevent further loss.
Pendulum may assist with notification, documentation and communication. The insurer investigates, assesses coverage and determines the claim under the policy terms.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or harmful activity;
- submit false information or impersonate another person;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, data or connected systems;
- introduce malware, harmful code or excessive automated requests;
- scrape, reproduce or commercially exploit website content without permission; or
- interfere with website operation or another person’s use.
We may restrict access and report suspected unlawful activity to relevant authorities.
8. Intellectual property
The website, logos, branding, design, copy, graphics, photographs and other materials are owned by or licensed to Pendulum Insurance Brokers Limited and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use. You may not modify, republish, distribute, sell, license or create derivative works without prior written permission. Third-party names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
9. Third-party websites and services
The website may link to insurers, social platforms, maps or other external services. Links are provided for convenience and do not amount to endorsement or control. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, terms or privacy practices.
10. Website availability and security
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device or freedom from defects or harmful components.
You are responsible for using appropriate security controls and maintaining your own backup of information submitted or downloaded.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Subject to that qualification, Pendulum is not responsible for loss arising solely from reliance on general website content, unauthorised third-party access, external websites, interrupted availability, or a user’s failure to provide accurate information or review applicable policy documents.
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, consequential or special loss, loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings or data arising from website use.
Any liability relating to separately agreed professional services will be governed by the applicable engagement, policy and mandatory law.
12. Privacy and communications
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Notice. Electronic communications are not guaranteed to be secure or error-free. Contact us promptly if you receive a suspicious communication claiming to be from Pendulum.
13. Changes, suspension and severability
We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version on this page. Continued use after publication means the revised terms apply from their effective date.
If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right. These terms do not create rights for a person who is not a party to them.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any non-contractual dispute arising from website use are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute in good faith through written communication. If unresolved, the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory dispute-resolution process that applies.
15. Contact and complaints
Questions or complaints may be sent to info@penduluminsurancebrokers.com, by telephone at 0706 802 8720, or by post to 1 Idito Street, Poly–Eleyele, Ibadan State, Nigeria.
Please include your name, contact details, a clear description of the issue and relevant references. We will acknowledge and investigate complaints using the information available. Where another organisation, such as an insurer, is responsible for the decision complained of, we may refer or help direct the matter appropriately.
